December, 2010
Dear Baltimore Guild Member,
Welcome to a new year as a member of the Baltimore
Guild-Catholic Medical Association (BG-CMA).
On behalf of our guild I congratulate
outgoing CMA President, Dr. Louis Breschi, for
effectively representing the interests of Catholic physicians in
a culture becoming increasingly hostile to our beliefs.
Membership in our guild and our parent organization, the
Catholic Medical Association, affords you an opportunity to
fellowship with like-minded individuals,
receive spiritual support to face the challenges before us, and
attend medical and ethically relevant presentations by experts
in the science and practice of medicine.
Now more than ever it is necessary that we bear witness to our
faith and principles not only to those steeped in our secular
culture but even among our colleagues. As Archbishop
O’Brien enunciated during his homily at our White Mass and I
quote, “…you good Catholic Medical
professionals must persevere; stay the course in attacking the
moral leprosy within your own noble community”.
Thanks to your support we are able to maintain our nominal
registration fees, offer CME’s to registered physician members,
send out a quarterly newsletter, and offer outstanding speakers
to address the current medical and ethical challenges in
healthcare delivery in America.
In an effort to keep our mailing list current please complete
the registration form enclosed and return it to us including
your annual dues payment. Please remember to register for the
CMA as well. Application forms may be
downloaded from our website.
I look forward to seeing you throughout the upcoming year.
Sincerely,
Marie-Alberte Boursiquot, M.D., F.A.C.P.
