“Peru: A Medical Mission from a Physician and
Nurse perspective”

G. Thomas Grace, M.D. received his M.D. from the University of
Maryland, where he was elected to the AOA honor society, and
completed Plastic Surgery training at the Medical College of
Virginia in 1990. Since 2005, he has been the Chief of Plastic
Surgery at St. Agnes Hospital. He began his affiliation with St
Agnes in 1991 and has served as a member of the St. Agnes
Medical Executive Committee since 2003. He has had many medical
presentations and publications, including a presentation to the
Annual National CMA Meeting in 2008. He is a busy family man as
well as volunteering his time to High Scholl boards, and other
charitable activities, including his medical activities in Peru,
which will be the subject of this presentation.
Terri Grace, R.N. graduated from the U of Maryland school of
nursing and is expecting to graduate in May, 2012 as a Pediatric
Nurse Practitioner. She is a busy mother of six and a seventh
child died shortly after birth. She has been associated with
Global Health Ministries in Chulucanas, Peru, which she will
discuss. In Peru, she served as a staff nurse in a pediatric
recovery room in 2010 and a recovery room charge nurse in
October 2011.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance
with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME)through the
joint sponsorship of Saint Agnes HealthCare and the Baltimore
Guild- Catholic Medical Association . St. Agnes Healthcare, Inc.
is accredited by MedChi, the Maryland State Medical Society to
sponsor continuing medical educational for physicians.
St. Agnes Healthcare, Inc. designates this live activity for a
maximum of 2 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s). Physicians should
claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their
participation in the activity.
